Kaitlyn and Andy chose the most stunning, picturesque, mountainous wedding venue in Queensland - Spicers Peak Lodge in the Gold Coast Hinterland. This bride and groom's wedding date was June 21 (winter solstice) and it was absolutely freezing up at Australia's highest non-alpine lodge but oh so breathtaking.
Andy and his groomsmen got ready in the gorgeous spa suite while Kaitlyn and her bridesmaids preened and prepared themselves in a cottage with the most epic mountain views. Both absolutely stellar options!
There were tears flying here, there and everywhere while the stunning bride was walking down the isle and throughout the ceremony. The most extraordinary thing happened though during their vows. Kaitlyn and Andy both wrote their vows separately but said the exact same quote at the end of their speeches - "When I die, then I die loving you." WOW! They were shocked. Their guests were shocked. We were shocked when we learnt they had not written their vows together!
After the ceremony we got to explore the A-MAZING Spicers Peak Lodge property with the bride and groom. It's a couple's wedding location dream and a photographer's dream. Sunset was absolutely divine to boot. These two were blessed with an absolutely perfect day for their wedding.
Kaitlyn, Andy and their close friends and family enjoyed a 5-course degustation meal during the reception along with some hearty laughs and hilarious anecdotes during the speeches. One of the loveliest and most gut-wrenching parts of the day was when Kaitlyn and her Dad danced together. The tears could not be held back any more. Such a sweet ending to a beautiful wedding day in the Gold Coast Hinterland.
We wish you so much love and happiness Kaitlyn and Andy!

Kingfisher Bay, Fraser Island Destination Wedding - Jennifer & Brenten (Sunshine Coast Photographers)
The rain cleared just in time for this lovely bride and groom's Fraser Island destination wedding at Kingfisher Bay Resort.
Jenny and Brenten regularly camp at Fraser Island with their friends so this was the perfect choice for their wedding day. Brenten and his groomsmen enjoyed some fishing off the pier while Jenny and her bridesmaids were getting their hair and makeup done.
The bride and groom's ceremony was so serene and absolutely beautiful. The love in Brenten's eyes for his bride was so special to witness and to photograph for them to keep forever.
The bridal party and I took off into the Fraser Island bushland for some photos before taking just the bride and groom along the beach for some couple portraits. We then hit the pier for a few drone photos followed by some stunning sunset images. Jenny and Brenten were treated to an awesome romantic sunset for the very first evening as a married couple.
Celebrations kicked on in the dingo den with speeches, a wedding buffet, cake cutting and a gorgeous moonlit first dance. Once this rad bunch got to dancing on the first dance floor they all showed their twirling skills off. I've never photographed a wedding where so many twirls occurred within such a short space of time - it must have been a guinness world record... surely! Love your work family and friends - and of course the bride and groom!
I wish you a lifetime of absolute love and happiness Jenny and Brenten :)
Enjoy!

Elephant Rock, Currumbin Beach (Gold Coast) Pre-Wedding Session
Elephant Rock in the Gold Coast turned on its absolute best charms for Joyce and Jacky's pre-wedding photography session. They flew all the way from their home city of Hong Kong to enjoy this beautiful rocky feature on Currumbin Beach.
A pre-wedding session in Hong Kong (and many parts of Asia and South-East Asia) is similar to an engagement shoot but the bride-and-groom-to-be wear wedding-style clothing. Joyce wore a wedding dress but Jacky changed into 3 or 4 different outfits throughout our two hour session. This added a fresh element to each frame that I shot and every different area we photographed in.
The Currumbin, Gold Coast sunset was so stunning on this particular evening and a great backdrop to the end of the pre-wedding photo shoot.
We all didn't want the evening to end especially once we started talking about Radiohead and Muse.
See you in Hong Kong Joyce and Jacky so we can continue our musical chats. I look forward to seeing you rock on stage also Jacky - could be another great opportunity to photograph you!
Enjoy...
