2018 has been a MASSIVE year of wedding photography for Mikala and I. We have photographed loads of beautiful weddings around our hood on the Sunshine Coast, from Noosa to Maleny, Montville to Caloundra, Obi Obi to Coolum, Maroochydore to Beerwah, Mooloolaba to Sunshine Beach. We’ve also travelled to Melbourne, Ireland, Portugal, Hong Kong, London, Fraser Island, The Whitsundays (Airlie Beach) photographing destination weddings along the way while exploring the extraordinary globe we live on.
We feel so privileged to have worked with so many gorgeous couples at some absolutely stunning wedding venues including Gabbinbar Homestead (Toowoomba), Villa Botanica (Airlie Beach), Kingfisher Bay Resort (Fraser Island), Noosa Riverdeck (Sunshine Coast), House of Laurels (Maleny), Montville Chapel & Poet’s Gallery and the list goes on and on.
We have an enormous amount of gratitude for the couples who have chosen us to photograph their wedding day and capture those one off moments, never to be repeated, so they can enjoy them for the rest of their lives.
Thank you to all the awesome, now married couples we’ve worked with in 2018 and also a big thank you to the wedding ceremony and reception staff, owners, helpers and guests who have made our year rich in laughter, love and everything in between.
Big Love and we look forward to another wonderful year of wedding photography in 2019!
All the love and happiness in the world to you!

Yandina Station, Sunshine Coast (Australian) Autumn Wedding - Lisa & Dave
This warm and generous couple hosted their wedding day at the one and only Yandina Station. Lisa and Dave are from a small town called Gayndah, just west of Hervey Bay and Fraser Island and so the country chic feel of Yandina Station suited them perfectly.
They preened and prepared themselves at Coolum Caprice with epic views of Coolum Beach.
The ceremony was outside under the Moreton Bay Fig Tree where they so emotionally said "I do" to each other. The tears could not be held back, especially from Lisa's gorgeous bridesmaids. Emotions ran high when the bride and groom exchanged vows, rings and then sealed the deal with a kiss. The emotions quickly turned into laughter post ceremony with hugs of congratulations and celebration all around.
We explored the grounds with the bridal party for some photographic portraits. Dave and his groomsmen were definitely a highlight when they took hold of the decorative umbrellas that were meant for the bridesmaids - or were they?
The reception rolled on in the old dairy at Yandina Station with new flooring which looks outstanding and was an awesome platform for this happy, humble duo's celebration dinner. The speeches from Lisa and Dave's loved ones were beyond heartwarming. But the dancing... well that's another story. This bunch of Gayndahnians know how to stomp their way around a dance floor. Fun, happy, silly, crazy. None of these words can possibly describe the awesome dancing styles that took place in the old dairy of Yandina Station on Sunday, April 2, 2017. There's no doubt this particular evening will go down in the history books as one of the most epic nights of dancing ever seen at Yandina Station.
We wish you all the love, happiness and everything in between for your lives together Lisa and Dave.
Enjoy...

Coolum Beach & Point Arkwright (Yaroomba) Wedding - Sam & Jake
Sam and Jake decided to throw an engagement party at Coolum Surf Life Saving Club on The Sunshine Coast. With all the their family and friends gathered they surprised everyone and turned the day into their wedding!
Sam kept peeking over the balcony of her Coolum Caprice apartment but had to be careful no one she knew looked up and saw her wearing a wedding dress.
This was a stealth mission that worked an absolute treat. The Coolum SLSC was a great venue for their wedding with one of the most beautiful beaches in the world as the backdrop for their big day.
After the ceremony on the deck we took the bridal party down the road to Yaroomba Beach, beside Point Arkwright where we had a fun and highly entertaining portrait session. The bridal party were initially dropped in the wrong location, then there was a somewhat failed attempt of the groom popping a champagne cork, plenty of Mary Poppins jump-kicks, thumbs-up dancing and drone antics all within about 25 minutes - the shortest wedding portrait session we've ever had. Boy did we pack a lot in to such a short time.
We wish you all the happiness in the world Sam and Jake!
Enjoy the Coolum magic...

The Rocks, Yandina Wedding - Brisbane, Australian Photographer
Mikala and I felt so grateful to be part of the intimate Australian wedding of Lani & Patrick. Only family and a best friend or two were invited to help this genuine, relaxed and completely in love couple celebrate their marriage. I feel so blessed to have known the bride's family for many years. To be able to participate in their beautiful day by photographing all of the special moments for them was an absolute honour.
Our day began photographing Lani (aka stunning Brisbane bride!) in a luxurious apartment between Coolum beach and Point Arkwright on the Sunshine Coast. Whales just happened to be jumping in the ocean directly in front of where Lani was getting her bridal hair and makeup done. As if the day wasn't exciting enough!
The ceremony was held at the divine venue The Rocks in Yandina (an Australian destination wedding gem). Set beside the Maroochy River and a small mountain this is an ideallic and tranquil place to get married and suited the happy couple oh so perfectly.
Emotions ebbed. Tears flowed. The mother of the bride's artistic wedding decorations looked amazing.
A fun-filled, relaxed and intimate ceremony and reception was enjoyed by all the family guests.
Congratulations Lani & Patrick!
