Our drone has received quite a workout this year at the weddings we’ve photographed across the Sunshine Coast - Noosa, Maleny, Montville, Mapleton, Caloundra, Nambour, Yandina, Valdora, Obi Obi, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Kawana, Point Cartwright, Point Arkwright, Coolum, Beerwah and more. But our trusty drone also travelled to Villa Botanica (Airlie Beach, The Whitsundays), Ireland, Portugal, London, Hong Kong and Melbourne.
We want to thank all the brides and grooms, bridesmaids, groomsmen, friends, family and randoms who trusted us as photographers and also who laid down on sand, grass, wood, rocks, pebbles, bridges, piers, boats, roads and dance floors to get THAT shot. We certainly have a lot of fun during the drone wedding and engagement photo sessions but also ironically our brides and grooms often comment that it was the most relaxing part of their wedding day.
Needless to say our trusty sidekick drone is taking some well earned R&R over the Christmas and New Year break.
Please enjoy some of our favourite drone moments captured at some stunning venues and locations around the world featuring some gorgeous newlyweds.
Merry Christmas and a super Happy New Year to you!
Big love,
Jesse & Mikala X
Gabbinbar Homestead Estate, Toowoomba Destination Wedding - Cat & Sean
Cat and Sean tied the knot at Gabbinbar Homestead Estate in Toowoomba. This is one of Queensland's top wedding venues and there is no question as to why. Gabbinbar is both historical and prestigious and the absolute perfect venue to host this rad bride and groom's wedding. (The owner and staff at Gabbinbar Homestead make the most helpful and professional wedding team you could hope for).
This warm and fun-loving couple are full of adventure, playfullness and style so Gabbinbar Homestead was a giant and glamorous, theatrical playground for them. Sean is Mr. Smooth Operator and Cat is Mrs. Dance-the-night-away and together they are a bundle of relaxed excitement. They balance each other perfectly.
The delightful bride and groom's family and friends gathered from many corners of the globe to witness and revel in the love they share so generously. One of Cat's 5 brothers unfortunately couldn't make it to the wedding in person but his wife held up her phone so he could watch the entire ceremony on Skype. +100 points for technology!
The rollercoaster of emotions did not stop throughout the entire wedding starting with a tear in Sean's eye when he saw Cat walking down their gorgeous outdoor isle. The laughter really marked their day though. The bride and groom, the bridesmaids, groomsmen, family, friends - everyone smiled and laughed the day away making for the absolute happiest day of Cat & Sean's lives.
Enjoy this natural yet theatrical feast of wedding grandeur at its best.
