Kirsten and Luke married each other at one of Australia’s best and most beautiful wedding venues, Villa Botanica in Queensland’s Airlie Beach. With the Whitsundays as the backdrop for your wedding, how can you go wrong? Right!

The bride prepared herself to walk down the aisle in Airlie Beach town, as did the groom. Kirsten and Luke were at different locations though to keep in line with the tradition of the bride and groom not seeing each other on the day of the wedding before the ceremony. This was one tradition they adhered to. The wedding bouquet however, was radicalised. WOW. WOW WOW. Wait until you see the bride’s wedding bouquet. AHHHHmazing.

Luke got himself ready with his brother AND his twin brother. Oh and there was another set of twins in his groom party. Not only were there two sets of twins in the but one twin in each set was called Aaron! Mind. Blown.

Kirsten completed her final wedding preparations at Villa Botanica. Then the moment arrived to walk down the isle and what a stunning entrance this awesome bride made. The ceremony was absolutely beautiful, marked by some hilarious guest appearances by the bride and groom’s son who received his very own wedding ring. So cute!

Post wedding ceremony we took some group shots, followed by some family photos and then we adventured to various areas around Villa Botanica for some bridal party photos. Then we cruised on down to the private beach beside Villa Botanica for some bride and groom couple shots. Our trusty drone of course made an appearance for some epic aerial wedding photos from above.

The newly weds then headed off to prepare for their reception on the epic deck at Villa Botanica (check out the drone shots of the reception setup). The night kicked on with out-of-this-world amazing gourmet entrees and main meals, a cake cutting, first dance and some very hilarious and a few teary speeches.

What an spectacular day at an extraordinary day for two stunning people getting hitched.

Maleny Retreat Wedding - Sunshine Coast, Australian Destination Photographers - Martina & Aaron

Martina and Aaron, two super kind souls, hosted their wedding with the ones they love dearly at Maleny Retreat. Breathtaking views of the Glasshouse Mountains, rolling hills and expansive grounds are some of the stunning features of this epic wedding venue.

The gorgeous bride and groom skipped many of the typical formalities at a wedding like speeches, a cake cutting and first dance. They asked us to focus on capturing candid moments throught their special day. So there are no getting ready photos and no formalities except for the ceremony which was run by lovely Cassie from Wish Ceremonies.

The ceremony was so sweet, with plenty of tears as the stunning bride was walking down the isle. Thankfully their trusty celebrant Cassie had some tissues to offer!

Martina and Aaron were congratulated by all of their guests after their ceremony then everyone made their way to the festival style reception, under a huge tent. There were games like giant jenga, giant connect four and croquet for the young ones and the young at heart! All the while the epic backdrop of Maleny to the Glasshouse Mountains and all the way to Brisbane was right there for all to enjoy.

Mikala stayed with the guests, capturing candid moments while I took off for a while with the newlyweds to take a few creative portraits around the spectacular Maleny Retreat property. The bride and groom were treated to not only a perfect day for their wedding but also a perfect sunset and evening - the weather was AMAZING.

The night kicked on with great food and wine from the boys at Something For Catering (seriously good food), loads of laughs, selfies and good old fashioned frivolity.

Kingfisher Bay Resort, Fraser Island Wedding - Sunshine Coast Photographers, Australia

This wedding had it all - tears, laughs, bloopers, an epic Fraser Island sunset, a saturated wedding dress, wooden bow ties, moving speeches, hilarious speeches and most importantly of all a couple that love each other to the moon and back.

Mark and Tara (Brisbane) were destined for each other which was evident in how they were together and how their friends and family spoke about and interacted with them.

We were absolutely honoured to be chosen to document the epic, magical Fraser Island wedding of this awesome Brisbane-based couple. We had so much fun with them from getting ready to their stunning beach ceremony to shenanigans with their rad wedding party and into the night at their moving yet hilarious reception at the gorgeous Kingfisher Bay Resort.

Mark and Tara's generous and super fun vibe certainly attracts their tribe. This is one amazing bunch of people!

Best of 2015 - Australian Wedding Photographer

What a year it has been! We have worked with so many beautiful couples and heard the most heartwarming and inspiring stories along the way. We've had the privilege of photographing stunning Australian weddings from The Sunshine Coast (Queensland) to Byron Bay (New South Wales) to Melbourne (Victoria).

Some of our favourite wedding moments from 2015 are below. 2016 is looking to be an amazing year of weddings. We're starting the new year photographing a Sunshine Coast Hinterland wedding in Maleny and on Queenland's gorgeous Fraser Island!
